When I first conceived this project over a year ago my intention was to get some nice would and simply tru-oil it. Looking at the parts on my bench I get the feeling I should stay in the brown family of colors. Maybe just a black or walnut type of grain filler then tru-oil the heck out of it. Any opinions?
BTW, I couldn't be happier with the parts, good job Warmoth!

I have always liked DARK filler on Korina and ash.  I think your plan is a solid one.  Walnut may be a better choice if you are looking at matching the neck.  I have never used tru-oil but it should turn out well.
Only thing I may suggest is a small accent burst on the edges if you have the capabilities.

BTW>>>that fretboard is superb.  What is it?

I'll second the idea of a darker finish. That will make that body really pop with that neck.

I like colorful guitars, and think a transparent turquoise sort of finish would look great with that grain.  Like looking through ocean water, with a coral reef on the bottom.  May not be your thing though.

The pickups in my jag are righteous sound ninjas (hum canceling p90s) that he put in a humbucker form factor for me. They are quite nice.

You can find demos on YouTube.

Wow, thanks for that, I don't think the turquoise would work for me but Transparent Amber might be just what the Doctor ordered :-)

I'll have to agree with Dave, the dark filler looks best to me with korina or ash...And that neck is killer... :occasion14:
