Unstoppable.....whatever

Yea, try being an Eagles fan....come on I dare you....Those guys are insane....Santa hasn't been seen at an Eagles home game since they pelted him with snow balls back in 1968....

They need to get T.O. to STFU and play ball like he did his first season.

I saw him in an interview with Emmitt where he was given this scenario.  "On our team, Michael Irvin was the outspoken member of the team who really yelled at the guys and got them to pay attention.....Who is that on your squad?".  He stopped...and thought about it for a minute...before giving a canned response of "It's a team effort".  It seems those words sunk in, he's been getting louder and louder as of late.

I wasn't talking about you specifically. Just some fans in general. I know some guys with some anger issues. Football isn't good for their blood pressure.
I get a little upset from time to time, but more so at the ref's for b.s. calls than anything else..And T.O. running his head about not getting the ball and then dropping passes when Romo throws it to him...

i don't understand how you guys can watch it, it's a greta sport but they fit about 30 minutes of football in 4 hours, it just get's so long and tedious...

That's why I prefer Rugby... also they don't wear that sissy armor and helmet.... the problem is: well, American Football is shown here only in cable TV (paid TV), Rugby not even that...  :sad1:

The Argentinian Pumas are doing well NT, how do you reckon they'll go in the world cup?

Seriously? No idea... I discovered that Rugby is "big" on argentina when I was in London, while the Rugby's world cup was rolling... Here you can find some studant's team in universitys... But it's very NOT like in US. The team you enter after you entered the university and it don't give you nothing, only something to put your anger on  :laughing7:

As I said, ESPN shows American Football here... Rugby is unknown for 99% of brazillians, its not showed on TV...

Beside Argentina and Brazil has a big rivallity, I hope they go fine and kick some butts!  :evil4:

I used to be a Steelers fan, but I'd have to smoke my weeks worth of pot to get through a game without throwing something......  Seriously I used to be a pretty serious football fan then I had to do some time for a reefer charge and the dudes in the joint, all they wanted to watch was football from 7am saturday (college games) till lights out on sunday.  There was only one tv on the cellblock, so you can see how easy it is to get turned off of something that you love when you are forced to watch it.  Also watching games reminds me too much of being incarcerated, so I tend to watch cartoons when the NFL is on TV, or I go to the workshop and start sanding something.  I haven't lost my interest in hockey, GO PENS!!!!!!

Doug, I loved that photo at the beginning of this thread.  Every time Eli gets sacked, I smile.  Jork thought he was too good for San Diego.

I can't stand him either, well I hate NY anyway. It is a cool pic, and he's such a goofball and always has that dumbass look on his face...

After last week's game, maybe you should mod the title of this thread to "Unstartable"....
That would be the title of the Cowboy's performance on sunday, or should I say the lack there of.... :sad1:

They showed without a doubt the could beat the "the best team in the NFC", and yet they let Philly just walk all over them...I'm ashamed.... :tard:

The year Romo muffed the placement for the kick in the Wildcard round of the playoffs in Seattle, they beat Indy in the regular season, who won the freakin' Super Bowl.  They beat the Giants last year in the regular season atleast once, only to loose in the 1st round as a division winner.  Last year with the undefeated season of the Pats, the Cowboys put a 3rd quarter lead on 'em, something no one else had done to that point, only to flush it.  The only time the Texans have been .500 or better was their franchise's 1st game and win against the boys.  The Texans were 1 of 2 expansion teams to ever win their 1st game.  There are a bunch of embarassing statistics with the Cowboys on the butt end.  It may have been Norm on the Ticket that said that there wasn't a single Eagles player with over a hundred yards of anything that day.  There was nothing the Eagles did to win that game, it was the Cowboys just giving them the win.

I love the Cowboys like I love my wife, and even she pisses me off now and then.

I would tend to agree with that, the Eagles didn't win the game. The Cowboys won the game for the Eagles. And I too am a diehard Cowboys fan, always have been and always will be. I just want to see them be the first team to own 6 superbowl championships...

Dallas Cowboys my butt....

Itirapina Gunslingers are going to conquer the next Super Bowl!

FORTH GUNSLINGERS!!!!

You would probably be more fun to watch in the Superbowl.

I totally agree about rugby.  It's hardcore.  My college had a rugby team, and they were trying to get guys to join.  They put up posters that were like "It takes a real man to play rugby."

And yes, I don't understand why anyone watches football, since it is 30 mins of action with 4 hours of guys talking.  We need to get into rugby, and bring back jousting or something.  That's real action.  Or Scottish tree throwing.  Then I would be more interested in sports.

I'm trying to change the team to Rugby, but nobody show Rugby games reguraly here, so that's why guys preffer American Football... If they watch some good Rugby game, they won't care for A.F. anymore...

It's just silly: why use helmet, armor, stop the game everytime the ball touch the ground and change the whole team on defence, attack and kicks when you can play it with a shirt, shorts and play the hole game faster with the same team??? :icon_biggrin:

To each his own..Football rules in America and probably always will.Todays athletes are bigger, stronger, and faster and if they didnt use the equipment they had, there would be a great deal more injuries.Try running a slant route across the middle with a two or three guys that run a 4.40/40 and bench 350-400 lbs. coming at you and nothing on their mind but either intercepting the ball or lighting your @ss up with a quarterback that thats going to rocket a leather pigskin at you and try to catch that ball knowing damn well you have a great chance of having the bejesus knocked out of you.I hear people say crap like.."oh man hockey is for real men or rugby is this and that"..but the truth is that the Hockey guys wear more damn padding than anyone. And they are on ICE!!!!!!!!!!As far as rugby goes, there is no doubt they play hard and rough, but rarely do you see I guy get his head taken off.Anyway, just my opinion and not intended to ruffle any feathers.

Yeah, but in hockey you have pucks flying at you at 90 miles an hour.  It would be insane to not wear padding because you're pretty much guaranteed to break bones if you don't.

True..I dont disagree. But when is the last time you saw a guy get carried out of the rink on a stretcher??? It doesnt happen!!!! They hit and get hit,but its not even close to being as brutal as football.I live in the Northeast and its Hockey,Hockey,Hockey..which equals boring, boring, boring!
