Isn't this the modern day translation of the Sermon on the Mount?  "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."  If Jesus had to do it over again, would he instead have said "don't be a dick?"  Theologians the world over are debating this very point.

My personal theory is that it was a byproduct of the instruments of the time.  It's really hard to play "Smoke on the Water" on a harp.  I think that if they had electricity and steel, they would have invented the electric guitar.  By direct correlation, Jesus would have said "don't be a dick" more often.

When I think about scarabs and egyptian ornaments I think of the colors blue and gold

So depending on how GA colors the body perhaps gold hardware will be in order.

Yeah, I think it would definitely depend on the body color...  But now you got me thinking of a black and gold hybrid set...

I like gold hardware. It's just not very practical on a guitar unless it's not played a great deal or you don't mind seeing wear patterns early on. Plus, some people's body chemistry seems to adversely affect any kind of plated hardware in no time flat.
