Hi.
a trivial curiosity: do you have any images of an unfinished maple neck after intensive use?
No true oil, no teak. Nothing, only wood.
Just to realize.
Thanks

Yep. I'll put one up. I occasionally have to scrape the fingerfunk off of it, but only maybe once a year. I'll get you a picture today.

Hi Max,
how long a day in your country ?

peavey wolfgangs (and ernie ball music mans, i believe) come without finishes. a google search for "peavey wolfgang" will get you all sorts of good pictures of unfinished necks with lots of play on them. i think it's a good look, but i'd feel pretty weird about buying a used wolfgang that had a TON of dark spots on it. if it's not mine thats a little strange to me... :icon_biggrin:

anyway, here are two pictures of a wolfgang i used to own. not great shots of the fingerboard, but i'll post links under them and you can see them in their biggest size if you wanted

EVH had his necks raw.

EBMM also Tru-Oiled the production necks. You should see their set-up, they dunk the necks in a tank of tru-oil, let it sit a couple minutes, then wipe the excess...

ugh that's gross  - try washing before playing sometime. And afterward since that funk will get back on your hand :tard:

i hate to be the only one to say this, but max... your unfinished fretboard is very clean :dontknow:

i feel like my gross greasy sweat would have an unfinished neck looking like that in a couple days :icon_biggrin:
