He may have never played one, but star shaped guitars always make me think of Paul Stanley.
I know he had plenty of Icemans (icemen?) and other unique shapes though

Thanks line6man, I'm glad it made an impression. I'm going for a recessed Floyd which is an option in the Star builder so should be sweet as.

to be honest i hate the inlays but i guess if you are gonna use them then that's the body to use 'em with, at least you have a theme going.

i would hate the body but in black and that headstock it kinda works. i actually almost like it, but not quite. but if it works for you then more power to ya.

As much as I like a maple board, and I really like a maple board, I think a jet black ebony would look much better and be very stealthy with no inlays on it.

Yup, LOVE the overall look - but hate the inlays, even though they fit the theme. Still, it should be a nice axe regardless of aesthetics. Actually, I could see this
possibly selling for a decent amount to someone younger down the road...

As of lately I've been ant-eye inlays, but in this case I think it fits and is complementary to the build....
