hey. so, I have an idea for a bass that you guys will know about when everything is finalized and ordered. but for now, I'm deciding on electronics. I'm wanting to keep the control area clean. so, here's a run down on the electronics. it will have a mudbucker in the neck position, p pickup in the middle position, and a musicman style pickup in the bridge.
here are my two choices for pot layouts -
choice 1: mudbucker to a volume/tone concentric pot, P and MM to a single volume/tone concentric pot, and a blend knob to blend between the P and MM. or, a concentric pot for the mudbucker for volume/tone, a concentric pot for volume/volume for the P/MM and a tone pot for the P/MM pickups. a friend I was talking to said there might be output issues since I'd be going through so many pots to get to the output. just curious on some feedback about this and what might be better.
and yes, the mudbucker has to have it's own v/t tone pot. I'll explain at a later date when I'm ready.
