Tung oil

I used tung oil on 2 different bodies and love the natural aging. Any advantages to tome in this area?

Pure tung oil, or manufactured tung oil ?

Personally I doubt it has much discernible difference either way. But what are you comparing it to...

Finish material can have an effect on an acoustic with its very thin woods that are designed to vibrate sympathetically in response to the vibration of 15 or so grams of strings, but the idea that .005" to .010" worth of any kind of finish on a 7 to 10 pound electric guitar will have an effect on what magnetic pickups see those same strings doing is just ludicrous.
