Tung Oil Questions

So I'm finishing my first guitar and I'm using pure Tung oil cut with mineral spirits. I have a few questions.
1. Do I have to finish the cavities?
2. I have the body resting on bench cookies and both sides are finished. Should I hang it instead? Or leave it on the cookies. I'm worried about it sticking to the finish once in hardens.
3. Any tips? I'm not looking for a lustery shine.

Has anyone else thinned Tung oil with mineral spirits or anything else? I've used it straight from the can many times (but not on a guitar) and never cut it with anything. Homer Formby didn't even use a rag, just his hands to apply Tung oil.

I'd be tempted to hang it for drying myself but maybe others might have a better idea?

I wouldn't rest anything finished with any kind of "oil" finish on bench cookies, even after it's cured. it's not that durable of a finish, and it'll almost certainly get marked. Hang it.

Having finished a fair amount of furniture with Tung Oil,  I'd say hang it.  it takes forever (i.e. weeks) for the finish to harden up
