I'm throwing around ideas for a bass build, and I have a question that maybe you guys could answer: I want to do a P Bass neck (Maple on Rosewood) with an LP headstock and vintage fender style tuners (the elephant ear, reverse wind type) I only need to know if the tuners' back plates would fit on the headstock?

And if anyone's interested: the rest of the bass would be a 51 P body, natural finish on swamp ash, 3ply white pickguard, Badass 3 bridge (string-thru), and a Hammon Darkstar Pickup.

I believe the tuning peg hole for the minis is used for the angled headstocks on Warmoth necks, so the Fender style full sized clover-leaf keys will not fit.  However, Hipshot 3/8" ultralites are available with clover-leaf keys and will fit.

They're available elsewhere a little cheaper if not ordered through Hipshot for some reason.

For the bridge, every Leo-Quan Badass III string-thru in chrome I've seen is out of stock - EVERYWHERE.  However, that bridge routing is the same as the 3-bolt American Standard bridge, as well as the vintage string-thru route Fender used to use.  There are several bridges available through Fender that fit that route and one from Hipshot (although not on the Hipshot cite) that work.  I've got that route and Hipshot bridge on my latest build.

Wymoreguitars.com sells the Hipshot products cheaper than Hipshot itself, and I just picked up a Badass III w/ grooved saddles on eBay last night for $91.
