I am SURE it has been asked/answered before, I did a forum search but couldn't find the answer I was needing.

SO, I am re using a set of white button Kluson tuners that I have on my current project.
the spec I am seeing is 25/64 on the klusons,

on the builder there are two options for this size.
Schaller at 25/64 11/32,
And Sperzel at just 25/64.

which of these is going to be the best option in fitting the tuners? :icon_scratch:

I'm looking at you Cagey....... :help:

Vintage tuners usually should use the 11/32" vintage ream.  The Schaller dual size ream is almost certainly wrong for Klusons.

Warmoth tuner ream reference page: http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Necks/TunerHoles.aspx

If it's calling for a 25/64" hole, then the Sperzel size would be the one to use. The Schaller hole necks down a bit at the top, so it would keep you from getting the nut in.
