tru oil over danish oil

Depends what the danish oil is... as the compositions for "danish oil" vary from near urethane to modified oils to wax dissolved in spirits.

I'm using Watco's "danish oil"...

They say it's made of linseed oil, varnish and mineral spirits as a thinner.... :dontknow:

What is tru oil made of?

same stuff, more or less... cant vouch for the type of oil, or the varnish or solvent proportion or type

Birchwood Casey says Linseed oil mineral spirits and modified oil...Whatever that is....I figure it is a polymer resin of some sort.... :dontknow:

If the modified oil was "modified food", I'd pass on eatin' it.  Modified... sort of like "chef's special", but they never tell ya what exactly it is, or maybe like the 7-Eleven "mystery meat" sandwich......
