tremol stopper on warmoth body

i acquired a tremolo stopper, and i wonder how much space there is between the humbucker bridge cavity and the spring cavity ? how far can i drill in the screws without them popping up in the humbucker cavity  ?

what i have is a standard warmoth strat body with recessed floyd!

Typical humbucker cavity depth is 3/4". Typical trem spring cavity depth is 3/4". Typical Strat body is 1 3/4" thick. So, there should be 1/4" of wood between the two cavities.

What type of trem-stop did you end up with?

its a stainless steel trem stop that i bought off of ebay, which looks real nice. i just dont want to drill through the body, i have tried taking some measurements and ended uo with about 8 mm of wood inbetween the cavities. i wonder if anyone else has put a trem stop on a warmoth body, or if someone might know if im safe ?

Tremol-no, it's non invasive and reversible.

that was my plan at first, but my tremolo claw holes are drilled up so high the thumb screw would stick out far too much :/

The small one from Floyd Upgrades might be just what you're looking for.
Secured by 2 small screws, adjustable bolt, that's it.

thats pretty much what i have, the screws probably stick out 8 mm or something on the other side of the stopper, so i dont know if i should cut 2 mm off.
