trem claw/bridge tilted?

so on my new strat body with recessed floyd i discovered that my trem claw is at an angle. one side of the trem claw is 1,5 mm closer to the bottom of the trem rout than the other side. also, my floyd treble side is 1 mm closer to the nut than the bass side.

is this acceptable or should they make me a new body ?

If the dowel were on a visible spot, I would understand. A dowel in the trem claw area? If the body is nice and what you want, deal with a dowel you'll never notice. Ever. Unless you adjust the trem claw/springs. I mean, I understand the principle of it but it's a small sacrifice for a quality instrument. It's really not a big deal. You'll forget it's there over time.

I think the fact that they offered to dowel/redrill it is going above and beyond the call of duty. I'd thank them for the offer and pass on it, maybe even apologize while I'm at it. Tell 'em I was drinking, and went off the deep end for a minute.

The trem claw and bridge, among other things, are all adjustable because they need to be. Temperature, humidity, production tolerances, etc. will all conspire to make everything go together somewhat less than perfect. So, you adjust them to make them right.

Whaddaya gonna do the first time it goes out of tune? Call D'Addario?

so far i havent requested anything at all. i just emailed him a few pictures and they offered to take the body in for inspection, which i did not say no to. i said that i will wait and see if its causing me tuning problems ( so far the low e string goes out of tune only, but im gonna change strings when i switch pickups and saddles on my floyd), and then see.

I dabble in and out of OCD, loosely diagnosed 10 years ago and no longer medicated.  I could live with the trem claw as is, and if a solid color, I could live with the dowel in the bridge assuming a refinish.  You'll never know, and it should only he on one side.

i've never been medicated, might start though. i just cant live with the knowledge about it. its quite tough as is with the angled trem claw and floyd.
