Well, my first run at building a guitar was pretty much exactly as I expected.  I knew I would hit a few snags along the way and stumble here and there, but it was a lot of fun and I can't wait until I have the $$ to start on my next one (starting to look like a 5-string Gecko, but we'll see).  I know I appreciate the help that so many of you offered me when I was stuck.  This one sounds as good as she looks.  Anyhow here are the specs:

Showcase Body:
Chambered ash
Quilted maple top
Transparent black/gloss black edge (front and back)

Custom Neck:
Warmoth Pro construction
3A Flame Maple neck and fretboard (no inlays, side dots only)
10-16" compound radius
11/16" Nut Width
Standard thin back
22 SS6150 stainless frets
Schaller tuner ream
GraphTech Black TUSQ nut
Matching quilted maple peg face and finish
Clear satin nitro neck finish.

Hardware:
Schaller locking tuners
Gotoh Tele bridge
Graph Tech saddles
Fender N3 Tele pickups (neck cover removed)
Chrome control plate
Black control knobs
Dunlop Straploks
Dangerous Doug neck plate
Black Electrosocket output jack
250k CTS pots

I was initially going to post some outdoor pics (might still) but I had some interesting light in the living room and took advantage of it:

Congratulations.  That's a fine looking axe.  May it bring you many hours of happy twanging.

Traditional really was what I was going for.  I have a Strat, Flying V, JEM, SG, and a Les Paul.  I really needed something to fill the Tele void.  It just looks and feels better than the usual.  :cool01:

Nothing wrong with traditional  :headbang1:
That is really a sharp looking tele!
Additionally, it goes great with your flooring  :laughing7:

:blob7:    Oh yeah baby ...... Love it all !!

EXCELLENT    :hello2:

Would pair up nicely with my Black Quilt Strat ... http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=17679.0

Very cool pic's  :kewlpics:

Thank you for the compliments, everyone.  Since this is my first build, I had know idea what a rush it would be to play something that I built.  How cool is that?  And thanks to Warmoth for putting as much love into it as I did.  :guitarplayer2:

Now you've got me wondering if I don't "NEED" a tele!  Never had one.

I'm still wondering what a trans-black flame maple neck would look like.  NON traditional!

Nice! Is that a unique choice top?

No, I pulled it from the showcase.  It caught my eye and I knew it was meant to be.  It is, however, an open relationship.  There will be others.  Oh yes, there will be others.

And here is where we spy one of the fundamental differences between guitars and women.  You can get away with this kind of an attitude with your guitar - ANY guitar - but only one in 897,542 women is okay with this.  And that one woman out of 897,542 may not be a real looker (nor may the others you might enjoy as alternatives to her), but you can pull this crap with even the hottest looking guitar.  You have a ridiculously sexy axe?  YOu can pick up another one and the experience of both is enhanced, not diminished.

Curiously, you can play the most beat-to-hell guitar right in front of your friends, and many will be jealous as hell and offer you good money to relieve you of it.  Nobody wants to take a worn-out, out-of-tune, screechy dame off your hands.

I know, bad jokes, poor taste, yadda yadda.
