I wasn't sure whether to post here or in the for sale/trade section but...

You heard about that guy that made continuous trades starting with a paper clip? well i'm going to attempt something similar and continuously trade up in instruments starting with my PRS SE soapbar II.

I've got an offer for a gretsch electromatic double jet. Should i trade?

Hmm... I'm no expert, but I'd say that's a deal.

It appears they are both in the same price range within $100, so you can't go too wrong.
I guess is just depneds on what sound you are looking for.  I think they would both have quite differnet sounds.
The Gretsch looks kinda cool, but then I am partial to Bigsby's.

ok, the best offer i've gotten so far is for a RED gretsch electromatic double jet.

When I go online it appears that only black, gold, and silver are available finishes. Is this an early model or what?

It might be an older model. 
All of the Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet's that I see online have a slightly different knob configuration and are equiped with a Bigsby.  I did not see red as an option for this model either.  ???

You might find a remote select audience that is looking for a  Rhodes V, but I feel your chances of trading up are much greater with the Gretsch...

That red paper clip guy was basically doing it as a stunt - please trade me something of greater value, etc., and the town eventually gave him the house to boost its tourism. I'm not sure you're going to have the same success trading with poor musicians, but hopefully I'm wrong.

BTW, if you want to trade a PRS SE soapbar for a whole drawer of random office supplies, pm me for my address!
