After years of thinking I didn't really care for Strats, I have recently discovered that I LOVE Strats.
Why? Because they generally have top-routed bodies with the controls and pickups mounted on the pickguard, so if I want to try a different control layout or pickup configuration, I only have to replace the pickguard.
So, I'm thinking that if a top rout option was also available on the other body styles, we would have similar flexibility with these.
This would also mean that we would need pickguards for the other body styles, but I don't really see this being a problem, even if Warmoth did not offer these, as it's easy to cut a pickguard from a blank yourself, using tools that are easily available or that you probably already have if you are building a guitar.
