Tonerider opinions

Hey, I've been mucking about a bit and found some info on tonerider pickups, the strat ones seem to be especially popular, british owned and near-GFS prices ($100, a set, shipped). Here's a review for instance: http://tonerider.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/review.pdf
Of course there are the usual Harmony Central raves, but what does that tell you? A search on the forum shows that Marko is the only one to even mention them. Well, people? Any reviews of tonerider pickups? I'm thinking of once again swapping out my strat pickups - I've never been super happy with the sound of that guitar. I've even thought of routing out a space for a tele bridge pickup but might go with  a 'texas style' bridge pickup first.

Spare yourself future misery, save up some clams and go Fralin or (even better) Callaham singles (H/SRV in particular).

I have a set of tonerider humbuckers for way over a year now, but never got to install them
to be honest I forgot about them until I read your post. I'll install them sometimes soon.. I heard great stories about them though

artec, I heard they make the GFS pickups, but now sell their own stuff even cheaper in the US.

Hi.

I own a Tonerider Rocksong humbucker in an oak strat build.  It's an OK pickup...  My other guitars all have Bare Knuckle pickups which as obviously WAY more expensive but, in my opinion, worth every penny more.

Mark.

I had a set of Tonerider P90s. They were ok, sort of in between a cheap import and a real-Gibson, Duncan, etc.- P90. The tone was passable, but only made me want a real set that much more.
