Hi all  :icon_biggrin:
I'm building that Strat (Black Quilt) with a String though over a Tone Pro's Tune-O-Matic Bridge, with the intonation screws on the Bridge Hum side. (facing the neck)

I'm putting in a GK-3 pickup close to the bridge & would like the intonation screws at the rear of the bridge (just to make things easier) later on !!!
Could still use the one I have  :icon_scratch:  just half to dismantle the GK-3 pickup ie: undo the screws & move it & tape it down.
  To do intonation.

So is there one / model / make, that would fit the insert studs of the Tone Pro's on my body that would be the other way ?
Thanks  :icon_thumright:

It's been a while since I messed with a TOM bridge, but I'm pretty sure you can just turn the thing around. If the saddles are already cut, you may have to disassemble it and reassemble it with the saddles in reverse order, but really, that's the way those should be set up anyway. Having the adjustment screws on the pickup side is a pain in the shorts.

The Tone Pros is basically a Gotoh with the set screws.  The intonation saddles should be removable, I don't know how to, never had to, but you can buy replacements made from various materials if you are so inclined.  When starting on a potential grey hair building project like this, I get the digital camera charged up and take pictures at all of the steps.  Has been a very helpful habit over the years.

Thanks guys  :icon_thumright:

Well since my Red Quilt is having a GK-3 installed …….

I've decided NOT to install a GK-3 on this Black Quilt Strat with TOM & string though. (Should also look better without one)

Did try pulling apart the Tone Pro's bridge to turn everything arse about …
But  :icon_scratch:  just couldn't get the last bit of all the screws thought the individual bridge bits.

Yep  :icon_thumright:  always take a heap load of pic's especially when doing a GK-3 Install

Thanks again  :icon_biggrin:

Sorry if this is a retreaded answer, but both of my Hagstroms have TOMs and one of them has the intonation screws facing the bridge humbucker while the other has the screws facing the tailpiece. They each came that way and I've had no need to mess with them, but I do know that I can just take the entire bridge off the posts, flip it 180 degrees, and set it back on the posts ... thus positioning the intonation screw heads in which direction I please.

Thanks for the heads up on that  :icon_thumright:

 I found this ....  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tune-o-matic

This is what I wanted to do .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bridge_string_thru_body.jpg

But .. I had the thought that each of the angled individual saddles had to be slopped towards the back .....  :icon_scratch:  obviously not !!!

I just learned something new  :blob7:  yippie
