To Strat or to Tele....that's my question

hmmn the classic good looks of a natural ash strat vs. that tele, i cant decide.. build them both.  :blob7:

Definitely build the Tele. 1st, it looks badass! 2nd, there is no match for the simplicity and versatility of a Tele. 3rd, we need to counteract the recent Tele hate around here.

I second the "both" vote

Strat.  They're more versatile, way more sexier and you look way cooler with one hanging off your shoulder.

Rumor has it all the cool cats play one:

...and many, many more.

Tele.

You can spank them, rock them, make them cry, make them scream, make them moan, make them shimmer.....

Strat.

You can make them hum.... and buzz.... go out of tune....
Oh! They have a really cool jack on the face of the guitar!

Make the tele out of rosewood, and call it a day...

Seriously, you can't go wrong either way. Just stay away from overwound pickups, and all's good!

I've seen Springsteen's and Beck's Esquires/Teles up close... Those things have stories to tell... I loved the finish on Beck's.

Nah, the finish that was there was great. Seemed just right.
Really thin, and just the right about of grain showing.

<SNiP all the dumba** tele pictures>

Yeah, sorry - if thats your "argument", I can find x10 pictures of muscians with more talent and reputation with strats over tele's.

It seems you love them so much, thats why you have a strat as your avatar pic, eh?  :laughing7:

Although, if your 'evidence' is old unremarkable musicians with ancient instruments, give me a second while
I dig up all the killer artists out there with harpsichords.  :icon_jokercolor:
