Tiffany gets a makeover

I think black humbuckers complement the guitar better, but I'm glad to see you've added a second pickup!
I never did get the appeal of single pickup guitars. They just aren't versatile enough. :blob7:

It's odd that I remembered this guitar from the name, before opening the thread. I guess it made an impression on me before. You can't beat alpine white and gold! Simple and classy.

It really depends on what, and how you play. I love the single pickup guitar for rhythm guitar. Sure it's not as versatile, with all the tonal options having multiple pickup choices, but if you're happy chugging out chords, it's great. Just set it and forget it. Concentrate on the beat and the right chords and make your best faces and dance around a little.

Which is exactly the way I played.

Who needs all them switches and knobs and fiddling about when you're laying down Stones or Who. I used my Strat on one, maybe two songs. The SG Jr. covered everything else.

I find I get all finicky now that I have a guitar with 2 humbuckers, tap and phase switching and a blend in acoustic pickup. Takes me forever to settle on the "right" sound.

im with you man! I love the simplicity of a single hum guitar. I plan on building another one at some point. I think it really makes you a better guitar player. it taught me a lot about my picking technique and how to use rand hand technique to make more sounds and tones.

@streetavenger: there is no gap at all with my soloist. the fretboard overhang sits flush with the top of the body. looks very very good and pro. how big is the gab on yours? post a pic of it???
I think I got screwed. I paid for the .720 Mod, but there is a gap of 5/64 of an inch. I'll BET a pickguard would fit under it.  'Plays fine though.

Damn what a bummer.

here is a pic of the overhang on my soloist. as you can see it sits fully flush with the body. the 720mod on my Z guitar is the same as well
