Thoughts on this tele build idea?

I can't stop thinking about a sort of unconventional conventional tele with a gotoh 510 bridge, direct mounted tele bridge pickup and p90 neck.

Front routed with a standard guard. Or maybe just rear routed and no guard.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea, I think you should do it!  :icon_thumright:

Front-route vs. rear-route is a big design decision - you might want to figure that out earlier rather than later.
What else were you thinking in terms of body wood, finish, neck, etc?
Is there a particular look you're after?

I totally love that idea.  I want to do one similarly but with both pickups being the EMG Tele Set with the passive look.

Suhr did some a Modern T Pro that looked really cool with the Tremolo but with humbuckers, but I've always gassed for a Trem with singles.

Yes! Maybe simple and classy like this with tung oil and a roasted neck

Which 510 were you thinking of?  There are several.  Gotoh calls their entire recent product line 510.

I have to have a trem on every guitar but I'm also itching for a traditional tele, hence this idea
