This sucks! Stupid blizzard!

Yeah, cuz spike free tires hasn't caused over 80% of all car-related deaths... Do you even have a car?

4x4's are heavy as hell (usually). And if they start sliding, they won't stop.

The tires are usually never the problem. Most of all accidents are caused by human fault. This includes driving when and where you shouldn't, so I can't see many ways to blame the tires. The same applies to 4x4s (on the weight-issue).
Oh, and I don't own a car, but I drive regularly with my father, even when the ice one the road is slick as a mirror, so I do know a bit about driving safely, yes. I do not say, however, that I'm better than anyone, but I can drive safely.

Spike free tires are designed for people driving inside the city boarders. They usually drive spike free tires to avoid paying fees. My uncle owns a tire and rim shop, and we've had this discussion a couple of times. Tires are almost always the problem when people slip of the road, collides etc. Human error do occure, but the percentage of human error would be dramaticly decreased if the non-spike drivers drove with spikes. Are we clear? :icon_thumright:
