Seriously, I've never seen anything sicker!!!!

Sorry for the crappy pic - I tried to adjust the colors as good as possible.
It just doesn't 'shine' enough as it does in reality. We're talking eye-cancer-bright in reality!

Way to make a sleeper, though. I imagine most people would see something like that and think it's some kind of blister-pak guitar out of Guitar Center with a companion "Rock Amp", 6' cord, strap, and a FREE PICK! But, this'll be like a Rolls-Royce sold to a tasteless sheik in Saudi Arabia. High-quality goods all whored up for a night on the town <grin>

So far it's just the body that I have, 2 pickguards (still need to figure out where I'm going with this project), and the hardware (except for the pickups).

I need to decide if I'm going more into an 1-piece-Maple neck look, or a Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard...
The hardware will be black, I'm not sure of pickups yet, either dual Paf Pro's (for the 80s vibe) or a Duncan Custom bridge and a little 59 neck...
I have so many options.

I vote for the all maple neck. If you can afford it you should go all birdseye maple! Or quartersawn. :toothy12:

As for hardware, go for the old Charvel brass-looking stuff and get gold hardware. :cool01:

Pickguard...Black with the pickups as Dimarzio green? And the knobs and switch as green too if you can find them.

Needs a neon/fluorescent Dimarzio strap with Dunlop gold straplocks!

If you don't get neon green PUs for this guitar, you will regret it forever.

Btw. you can't beat a PAF Pro, not just for an 80s vibe, but it's a really good PU. Basically a slightly hotter PAF with a tab more mid to cut through better.

As for a single coil, the Dimarzio Injector seems right up your alley.
