Here it is with the first coat of clear to get the colors to melt together.  It looks killer, I had a guy in the other day that said it looked just like a PRS he had. Pictures do not do it justice.

hey im new at this but what did you spray so that the red was translucent? dye maybe? i wanna try a sunburst but i am doing a lot of research before even trying it on scarp wood first for practice

I'm not into six-stringers but I'm seriously developing a thing for hardtail Strats.
 
Since I'm posting pictures here are some more of Cherry.  I actually darkened the red up and here it its level sanded and then cleared with the first of its last 4 coats.  This guitar looks fine!!!!
