Hey,

I am looking for some chrome plated metal single coil pick-up covers and strat switch tips. 
I have found chrome plastic covers and tips all over the place, but I think they look rather cheap.
I am looking for the real deal.  Anybody seen any out there???

i always wondered why they didn't make a tele-neck-pickup style cover for strat pickups. i think it would look awesome. maybe it would look too much like they were lipstick pickups, but i'd still like to see it. hope you find them! sorry i'm not much help though

You might want to send an email to Jerry at GHReno Guitars. Don't be fooled by the website - it's pitiful - that's why you need to ask specifically for what you want. But, he does all sorts of interesting things. You can get different colored anodized hardware parts, as well as polished metal and plastic switch tips with set screws. I bought some tips from him a year or so ago, and they were nice. The polished brass tips look much like gold, so they match up well with the rest of the hardware on a gold hardware guitar. I think the polished brass or chrome tips were $12.95 and the plastic ones were $4.95, but check me on that.

I have looked for all-chrome 5-way switch knobs, and all I found were the crappy plastic ones too. :dontknow:

Jerry, the guy that Cagey refrences in the above post has polished aluminum swith knonbs.  I got two of them and they are pretty nice.  They are indeed very polished and IMO look better than the cheap plastic, but they look slightly different than real chrome.  I am going to put them on Cherry Bomb and see how they blend with my chrome knobs and rings.  I will stay on the proul for real chrome and post if I find them.
