Yeah, I've seen some other clips of her.  She's very good.  That particular tune has kind of a Wayne Krantz vibe to it, which is not something you hear a lot of folks copping.  Thanks for sharing.

wow thanks for this. there are lots of blues or legato style players on YouTube with impressive speed but not much originality. but its great to see a young person, girl especially step out out of that box and show real skill and talent. much better than that last thread....

I sure hope Guthrie Govan doesn't turn out to be one of those guys who's peak is playing in other people's styles. He's one of those guys who's advancement just might be compromised by too much early attention. I listened to the original, and the original live, and he still sounds like "here's the Carlton bit, and here's the Beck bit, and here's Johnson, and here's Baxter." But this girl - with chops like that at that age, I sure hope she finds something she needs to play too.

dude she's barely legal. that might fly down there in texas but around here there would be some creep factor. but in another 5-7 years, who knows. either way i truly admire her playing.

yeah I'm just giving you crap. it seems like once a person is 24 or so age difference means less but at 18 if the other person isn't within 3-4 years it seems like a lot and you have to wonder about the older individual.

Sometimes my wife and I joke about how creepy it would have been if we'd dated when I was 20 and she was 14.

Of course, now with me at 35 and her at 29 it seems like barely a difference at all.
