A really nice roasted flame maple boatneck Screaming Deals neck sparked this build.

Holy Grail Guitar Co body, flame maple on alder

Roasted flame maple with rosewood neck amd boat neck profile

Pickups will be Fender American VMod II from a Fender Thinline American Professional II. I got a black pickguard that I'll probably use instead.

Coating the body in Minwax Aerosol Lacquer, keeping it natural.

I’d steer away from VMod2s. Been giving them some listens and the better out there.

Most recently was VMod2s vs 60s. The 60s easily won.

Well I already have them lol. I liked how they sounded in the store when I was trying out the am pro ii. I figured i can always swap them out if I don't like them haha.

Thanks! Originally I was planning to dye the body amber...but I like the heightened contrast of the light natural body and the rosewood board and roasted maple

All the flames! That neck is really pretty. The figuring on the back of the headstock is mesmerizing. That's gonna be a sweet tele.

You have good taste in selecting that Warmoth neck. Roasted maple and vintage/modern construction is always my choice:). I think Rosewood board will make the neck quite rigid, and the colour would work with just about any body finish.🎸
