yeah i know the obvious reason as to why the above both don't go together.

but the gibson blueshawk (which i used to own a couple of years back) is supposed to be built like a thinline but also sports a tummy cut.

any idea how that works? and whether warmoth can replicate that with tele thinlines?

but cannot replicate the thinline sound?

i'm looking for a semi-hollow sound.

Honestly, I think there'd be more difference between two different cuts of wood.  I wouldn't worry about it IMO.

I think what Tempest means is, that if you build two thinlines from different pieces of wood, then they'd probably differ more in sound, than building a thinline and a hollow body guitar from the very same log of wood. I think he's right. :)

If you are saying:how will the sound of thinline guitar with a tummy cut be different that the sound of a thinline without a tummy cut?

The answer is the difference is: No difference.

>how will the sound of thinline guitar with a tummy cut be different that the sound of a thinline without a tummy cut?

that is NOT the question. the question is about the difference in tone between a thinline and a chambered tele.
