Thick Panel Jack : Didn't Fit

I've just got around to starting the wiring of my Korina Strat project and the thick panel jack wouldn't mount.
There weren't any  (zero nada) threads exposed on the inside when it was pushed through the hole and that's not even trying to use the rubber washer that's supposed to go on the outside.

Here's my sloppy but functional fix to also be able to use at least the metal washer on the inside and also be able to thread the nut onto it.
I'll not be using the rubber washer on the outside. I'd have had to go an other 1/8" inch farther down to allow that to fit also.

I love my dremel tool.

Maybe it was a fluke ... that mine didn't get routed properly. Hopefully that's the case and others aren't running into this problem.

Try putting two of those jacks into the side of a guitar!

I had the same problem with my WGD, only I did the drilling etc.  I didn't have the Turtle do it for me.  I had to cut out all kinds of wood to get the nut to catch.  If I were you, I would run my dremel around the inside a little bit so you can use the O-ring, or make sure to put some loctite on the nut, as jacks see a lot of stress from your cord, no matter how you string it to the guitar.  Nothing worse than a loose jack.  Well I guess the clap is a little worse than a loose jack, but that is a different discussion all together!

Warmoth drilled the hole for it in the normal place but as others have noted, the gold jacks are shorter.

That gold jack seems to be a bit shorter than other deep panel jacks I've seen.  I've only used the quality switchcraft stuff though.

Just for clarity ...

That gold thick panel was ordered from warmoth.

Right but that doesn't mean it's going to fit. I'm pretty sure there were other problems with the gold ones not fitting too. Anyway I'm glad it worked out for you. After seeing your work on that bass I knew that jack would meet its match. Good heads up for anyone else considering this setup. :headbang1:

Even from Warmoth, the Gold Deep Panel Jacks are shorter in length than the Chrome ones.

I've had the same issue.  My hardware on my TFS6 is all gold, except for the output jack.

I've tried sourcing them, but it seems that everyone has the Chrome ones longer, the Gold ones shorter.
