I'll bite - the original question was what is your sports affiliation? I'm a UCLA Bruin fan, six years at grad school there and attended many games. Our football team sucks horribly this year. They are painful to watch but we have assembled maybe the best coaching staff in the country, and within a few years I think they'll be worthy of a ranking any may even beat USC again. OTOH, Bruin basketball is looking to finally get that ring after three straight near=misses. We'll see.
Pro sports generally bore me, mainly because even the players seem bored for the regular season games. In the pros, they're playing for a paycheck. In college, they're mostly playing for the love of the game plus plenty of "ice cream". Also they're local kids who I see (saw) on campus all the time. I played some racqetball with members of the 2008 UCLA Final Four team last year.
Personally, I like to play racquetball, it brings out the competitor in me and doesn't destroy my knees.
