Now that's pretty.
 
That's a unique and pretty fretboard.
But my eyes hurt after looking at it for only a  few minutes - hypnotising  :tard:!
 
Odd that board isn't on a nicer piece of maple...

I  may be a minority of one (here), but I think that:

A: A gaudy piece of wood can distract from a nice piece of wood;
B: straight maple looks stronger and more "vibrational", whether it is or not;
C: Birdseye maple looks like it has zits. (Spalted maple is nasty....)

It is possible for a guitar design to be TOO busy (heresy! :eek:) If I had that neck though, I would have to bend every note whether the song needed it or not.... :blob7:
