I thought it might be fun for you guys to see what I have been up to these last months, years... I was an avid fan of Warmoth for YEARS. I believe I held the record of 'most warmoth les pauls in one place' at some point! Maybe still do? wouldn't know.

I started to build my own. From scratch. haven't looked back since. enjoy. I know I do

Beautiful arsenal of heavy weaponry you got there, Orpheo.  Not a clinker in the lot.  If I were going to choose, I'd snag that amber Telepaulocaster - that'un's a beauty for sure.

@MikeW; thanks man that guitar is super unique. it has a Black Winter/Fullshred hybrid in the bridge, 2 seymour duncan p90's, hipshot hardware (with some custom features), master volume, switchable blackout modular preamp (one-of-a-kind, uses one switch and one 25kpot), and a toneshaper (can cut the bass, reshape the voicing, cut out the lows and be neutral: all in one pot: and passive to boot! and NO it's not the fender TBX: it's better).

Oh, and I'm also developing a new singlecut bass and two doublecut guitars. one with a more 'vintage' look and one with a more 'modern' look. My room has space for three more instruments. after that I really have to stop developing instruments, ghehehe  :headbang1:

we are in production right now we do it all by hand: no cnc's at all. That gives each instrument a totally unique vibe, feel and look (but never a compromise on tone or playability). Also, it allows us to really customize the instrument to your individual needs.

I'm saying 'we', not because I'm of royalty but because I'm not doing this alone that simple I hate it when a luthier talks about himself but says 'us', 'we' and 'our' all the time.

@mayfly: it's goin' slowly. People have to get to know us and that takes time. A lot of time. But that time is well spend honing our skills. Will upload clips as fast as I can.

@Cagey: thanks man that's a huge compliment, coming from you. At least, I'll consider it as such

@Surf: yeah that one was the prototype for that range. I never liked the tele look, but I loved the tone. So in stead of making it a flattop LP with tele features, I gave it the best of both worlds. At least, in my book glad you guys like it.

my guitars are fairly traditional in terms of tone wood: mahogany (or korina) (for the body), maple (for the body), rosewood (neck), ebony (board). YES NO bloody stinkin paper maché fretboards like Gibson!  :doh: :redflag: The colors are unconventional, but you can have whatever color you like. The finish is by the way french polished shellac. On all. And Yes, I can make that high gloss too So yeah... I also use a whole range of pickups, so you can really dial in the tone you want. It's really a les paul in tone and feel, only... better. not as cumbersome (but with the same 'heft' and chunk). the same versatility. But without all the gimmicks and visual mumbojumbo. What's not necessary is simply gone

The telePaul produces a sound super like a telecaster (doh, cause it's tele woods (ash and maple, but with an ebony board but then again... ebony sounds very similar to maple and I don't like maple boards on LP style guitars, and tele hardware and pickups) but with a bit more power in the low end and softer highs. I.e.: like a great tele. Not as harsh but with LOTS of twang.

So... are you doing bolt-on necks or glue-ups? If they're glue-ups, how do you carve them? Can't tell by the pics. Do you do any neck-throughs? After having gone through a half-dozen LPs over the past 5 years or so, I finally got one with a neck-through and an appropriately carved heel, and it's a keeper. If I could get more of those, my LP collection might expand.

5 and 6.  But 5 the most.  Reminds me of some of the VOX LP style guitars
