The DesertCaster From Heck [TM], also known as the DCFH[TM] :
This is my first ever guitar build, actually completed May 2024 but i forgot to poast a build thread at that time.
This guitar wouldn’t have been possible without the wisdom of the many sage folks at this site so— thanks!
Some of these parts are 30 years old and were bought with my granddad at the 1995 Phoenix Guitar Show
Specs:
- Warmoth solid maple Strat body (24-fret reposition) (new)
- Warmoth Strat neck (maple / rosewood: 1.75” nut width. 10->14” radius) (new)
- Original Floyd Rose and R5 nut (new)
- Duncan Dimebucker (new)
- Duncan Alnico Pro II (old)
- Grover mini rotomatics (old)
Paint is hardware store rattlecan
Stencils and snake design by my kid
This guitar plays and sounds truly outstanding, it has become my main guitar since completion
