Thanks Bitcoin!

I haven't yet had the priviledge of experiencing the Cagey treatment. My Nashville and my Tele Special are both long overdue for major neck TLC, I've been thinking about sending them his way.

I was starting to feel like this day would never arrive, but lo! They're here! I'm heading out of town tomorrow, otherwise I'd have waited to take more and better pictures in better light, but man they look good. I cannot wait to get this rolling!

I've got a lot going on coming up, so realistically it could be upwards of a couple of months before I can really give this time. I'll certainly start a build thread when I get under way.

Nice grab!

And with the recent drop in bitcoin conversion rates, you may have scored your fancy guitar bits just in time.

Hey Verne, that'll look great! I like the diamond shaped spots. Looking forward to your build thread.

I recently sold bitcoin at $1840.  Right now it's at $1760 and change.  Bitcoin isn't dropping, Bagman, just fluctuating right now.  Still looking like a good sale if you got 'em.  I'm still holding some on the bet that it increases.

Wow, way cool! Love the color, is that Candy Apple?

Thanks! Indeed it is, Candy Apple with matching headstock. And while the picture doesn't particularly show it, it's double bound to boot. The pulse quickens just thinking about it!

where is the link to those trees? those are cool

Logrinn has kindly posted the link, they are by Mastery. They're proud of them, but I like them a lot. I ordered a few to retrofit all of my string tree bearing guitars. They're quite smooth and have a small contact area for minimal friction, and I find their unique aesthetic appalling appealing.

Thanks Bagman! Relative to USD Bitcoin is actually up a good bit from where I sold to finance this guitar. For another benchmark, market value has one Bitcoin valued at more than an ounce of gold by $500+ USD! Truly a fascinating time to be alive... I've sold about half of my holdings at this point, I've learned my lesson enough times by riding an investment way up and then riding it all the way back down into the dirt, haha!

Thanks Rgand! I really like the diamonds on this one too. It's interesting, they've never particularly appealed to me in the past, but when I was spec'ing out this build they were in my mind right from the get-go.

I took an opportunity to snap a couple more pics today, as much so I can look at them for the next couple of weeks as to show them to y'all  :icon_biggrin: The lighting is better but my photography skills have not increased appreciably since last night  :laughing7:

Get that candy under some electric light where it belongs! (And get some chrome on there too.)

That's a purty guitar in the makings, Verne.

I'm just knocked out by both the body and neck, it's up to me to do them justice!

i love that color can't wait to see it altogether

You and me both! I've still got to get the pickups wound and then I've got some other obligations that will have me hooked up for a while, but I'll certainly commence posting progress pics whenever there are progress pics to post.

I've got some chrome just a-rarin' to go! That picture of yours makes me even more antsy to get started, that's truly a stunning axe.

Damn, that's a fine guitar. The chrome really tops it off. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
