Hi everyone,
my first thread here...

I'm planning to build a telecaster, but not with a typical telly-sound. Should only have the shape of a tele. Like this one: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=19145.0

Want to use a wraparound bridge, an I'm wondering, how wraparound bridge an a telecaster will fit together. Because of the string spacing. String spacing for wraparounds I know is for humbuckers. I want to use single-coils or P90 (not sure yet).
Questions: Do warmoth tele-necks fit for P90 pickups? Instead I'm using singlecoils, which wraparound bridge can I use?
Thanks, regards from germany,
Achim

Pickups all have very, very similar string spacing. The only difference is that some humbuckers are available as "trembuckers" or "f-spacing" for when you're using a tremolo bridge. You're not, so you don't need to worry about that.

Any bridge you decide to use, and any neck, will be compatible with whatever pickups you decide to use - P90s, regular single coils, TV Jones, humbuckers, mini humbuckers - anything.

I haven't used any wraparound bridges so I'll leave it to someone else to recommend one.

First, welcome to the board! We're glad you're here!

Second, pole spacing isn't as critical as you might think. The main reason to get them to line up is so they look right. The sound won't really change at all.

Finally, all Warmoth guitar necks use a common heel dimension of 2 3/16" (55.56mm) in width.

As for wrap-around bridges, I'm not certain but I think they're usually too tall for Teles. At least, the ones I have around here are. What I've had good luck with are the Gotoh parts...

Someone any expirience with bridges like that:

Instead of a wraparound bridge?

You can get them for a tele.  You need to make sure the neck pocket is angled for it, or it will not work very well.  Warmoth generally automatically angles the pocket, but be sure you ask for it just in case.  Beyond that, you just have to get one that is of good quality.  For that information you will have to ask around or search for it.  There are a number of P90 teles out there, the Guitar of the Month for instance, in the top right hand corner of the screen.  Sounds like a cool guitar, keep us posted on the progress
