This build has been over 6 months in the making. I started with the neck from this thread. http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=13112.msg181460#msg181460
After I f'd up the headstock topcoat, and inspired by Nick's Gold Tele deluxe (http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=5022.0), I decided I wanted to repurpose the neck. I sent it to Tonar to refinish the headstock face and he also gave the whole neck a gloss coat. As usual, Greg did excellent work. The neck came out amazing.
In the meantime, I talked with Telenator about getting some WRHBs that sound like the originals from the 70's. More details on the pickups and wiring in this thread: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=13943
So here it is. Definitely the most "fancy" Warmoth I've built with a birdseye neck, binding and a pearloid guard. The pickups really do sound incredible. I've heard nothing like them before. Ignore the gold coloring on the frets, thats just the tinted finish that I'll play off.
