tele neck headstock goes well with?

If I remember correctly, you should be able to use that neck with the body, but there will be a gap. You might need a custom pickguard to cover it up.

i have a tele on which i dont like the body (unbalanced). and a jazzmaster where i dont like the neck (too thin).

Those Fender Custom Shop Telemasters look nice.  I personally think they were inspired by oddball Fenders like the Musiclander.

any pics which clearly outline the incompatibility (in whatever sense) between a tele neck and a jm neck pocket?

according to warmoth site, as the tele heel is squared and the strat/jms neckpocket is rounded at the corners the tele neck MIGHT not intonate strat/jm. unless you modify the neck pocket.

but the reverse - a strat neck will intonate on a tele - except it will have tiny gaps at the end.

Small pic, but it's the one on the left.  It's hard to make out, but in person it's clearly a Tele (reverse) headstock.  Then again, I haven't seen the cover to the VHS tape in 15 years.

Have them delivered to work.  Besides, atleast with my wife, she doesn't know the difference between 7 guitars in the house or 12.  If you're always buying and building, then it's already budgeted.  I haven't vacationed any less or missed a meal for any of my builds.  Hell, I'm doing one right now and I've been unemployed for almost 3 months.

I like the tele. headstock - I guess because I really like tele.s I know some don't - never really thought about it on other shapes. That being said this thing rules.

LOL yeah my parts turn up at work and she doesnt know the gutars heck she asked me where i got my ASAT and she actually was with me when i purchased it as a Birthday present from her. I have spent $600 on bits in the last fortnight dont ask what i spent last month

I have so much stuff in my guitar room, my wife hasn't a clue what's new or old...I usually buy stuff so that I can time out the delivery on my days off... :laughing7:
