Tele: 4 Way Switch, wiring thoughts, idea?

Just rolling this around a bit.

Currently, I have a 4 way switch on my Bari-twanger.

Pos #1 = Neck & bridge in Series
Pos #2 = Standard Tele neck only
Pos #3 = Standard Tele neck + bridge
Pos #4 = Standard Tele bridge only

The bridge p/u is a locally handwound custom humbucker, at a 500k vol push/pot splits it.

My thoughts are this:

Is it possible to wire the split into the 4 position p/u selector, ala:

Pos #1 = Tele Neck Only
Pos #2 = Tele standard Neck + Bridge/split
Pos #3 = Tele Bridge only/split
Pos #4 = Tele Bridge only/Humbucking.

Haven't found anything in searches, wondering if this can be accomplished just on the switch.

as long as the coil tap is outside the switch there are no real limitations

I run a 4 way tele ,  but a bit more traditional  with series in the 4th spot.

can set you up  if you don't see what you want on thier regular offerings

Bete Noire is running two single coils - a GFS Dream 90 in the neck, and a tapped Duncan Quarter Pound in the bridge.  So in certain respects I have the same options available that you do.

I wired a four-way that runs like this:

Pos #1 = Neck OnlyPos #2 = Standard Neck + Bridge/SeriesPos #3 = Neck + Bridge - parallelPos #4 = Tele Bridge only

[/size]But your question suggests to me that rather than wire it for series/parallel operation, with the miniswitch separately controlling the tap, one could instead omit the choice of series parallel, and run the two leads out from the tapped QP to different posts  on the four-way.  I'm sure what you're interested in doing could be done on the switch, but I don't have the time to suss it out here at work, and I am a n00b at working out schematics and wiring diagrams.  Perhaps the always-helpful line6man could pipe up here.

it is likely possible. and easy to do. ill look into how the switch layout because i've forgotten how it operates. but before i post a description or diagram do you want the parallel n+b position to be the full humbucker or do you want it split?

Pos #1 = Tele Neck Only
Pos #2 = Tele standard Neck + Bridge/split
Pos #3 = Tele Bridge only/split
Pos #4 = Tele Bridge only/Humbucking.

Thanks DanO!

i forgot to label it but the yellow wire goes to the volume/tone. if i had some info on the pickups like magnetic polarity, wireing direction and color code i could make the mixed position noise canceling but unfortunately these things aren't standardized.
