Thinking of buying this ...

http://www.tedweber.com/6a14-c-kt

Seems princeton reverb-ish.  Sure looks like one.  Not entirely certain, however.

Any red flags on this one?

$400 more gets me an actual 65 reissue...

No red flags.  I've used Ted's products (god rest his soul) several times.  Cabs are good, and the electronics are hard to screw up.

Ted Weber is a solid choice.  They're made 2 counties north of where I live.

I've wanted to make my own amp for years but I'm far too uncomfortable with my soldering ability to pull it off.

My PC went to hell.  So we'll have to see if I have any money left for this.  I sure don't have enough to buy the real deal now.

Agree - not the highest quality components out there, but damn good.  Murican family business.  I support them whenever possible.

Looking forward to seeing your build!  Please let us know if you need any help.

No signs they ever intend to ship this.  When I finally complain to paypal to get my money back I'm thinking of doing a Dynakit ST-70 stereo amplifier kit to replace the amps in my Marantz.

Hmmm.  Very sorry to hear about this.  This sort of thing didn't happen when I dealt with them.

Let us know how It goes getting your money back.

I'm surprised that's happened. I ordered a speaker from them a few years back & they shipped to Australia quite promptly & without incident. Package arrived safely.  :dontknow:

I'll keep waiting.  I don't want to be putting this thing together in my garage when it is -20F outside and freeze to the chassis.

From almost a month ago ...

Haven't done much with it since.  Waiting for one of the transformers before I continue.  Apparently they're waiting for the knobs.
