teaser picts

That is beyond cool. You can rest assured no one else in the world has one like that.  :icon_thumright:

That thing is PIMP.  And totally unique.  Awesome!  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

That switch is in what would be the WORST possible place for me, though.... I already whack the strat switch where it's normally located.  :icon_tongue:

Yeah.  Most I've seen like that had matching pickup mounting rings, but this one doesn't.  That's what makes it unique..........NOT!

Wow!  That thing IS pimp....and I'd be it's ho anyday of the week.

thanks strap buttons and chrome knobs are next.. I'm just floored the wireing went smooth as the space is super hard to work in..

What a great guitar!

Please tell me you're gonna play surf on it  :headbang:
That's exactly what I was thinking!  For some reason Dick Dale jumped into my head when I was those shots.

This came out great!!  :rock-on:

Doh. I would love for you to do an A/B sound file with this guitar and a standard strat - get the tonewood people to say which is fiberglass and which is alder.

That thing is freaking the coolest guitar ever, and yet at the same time scares the crap out of me in an insect exoskeleton sort of way.

:-)

Is it as translucent out of the light?

well I'm still messing with intonation... but at this point I would say the sound with the twin hums is closer to that of a les paul than that of a strat.. however the mega switch center position nails the surf sound. the guitar has a solid cyphress core so the tone is def warm, great sustain, hard to get feedback (go figger) still working on actualy getting it finished, but at this point sounds great..

Is it pretty light...it seems like it would be.

7 lbs, which is super light considering the bigsby, shaller roller bridge and planet waves tuners.. I would imagine w/o the bigsby and roller bridge she would be closer to 5 lbs.. feels good..
