Tap Handles?

Do you have any necks that are unusable that could be made into tap handles?  Would love to get my hands on a few for my homebrew & kegerator. :headbanging:

I inquired about a reject neck one time to make a template from. I was told that under no conditions will anything not production perfect leave their shop. You could get a pattern and make your own, though. Or find a trashed neck on ebay or something.

Aren't they kinda big? Maybe scale something down. There will be some woodworking anyway. Surely you can jigsaw/sand something well enough to be a decorative shape?

I was thinking the exact same thing: just make small look-alikes out of whatever's handy.

This is a very cool idea. You can't make one too small or the tuners won't fit on it. Or were you just thinking of the headstock without them?

I got your tap handles right here - I found out I need to get a 0-#8 size. My existing one wouldn't hold my #6-32 tap without slipping - had to put some nail polish on it.

Being a machinist, that's actually what I thought of when I ween the thread title... :toothy12:

After further consideration I just bought a few miniature guitars and adhered them to some blank tap handles.

Silly me. I'm sitting here wondering why in the hell anyone would want a guitar tap handle and how that would work, thinking maybe I'm missing out on something...

That's a purdy nice tap handle you got there...  Much nicer than my old janky one that came with the tap set...

We made some for a friends bar.    I do not have i photo but it was like this.
