I just ordered a Switchcraft 'short frame' toggle switch from WD Music in the UK, and I'm wondering if they may have sent me a long one instead. The one I got is clearly too long to fit in a top-routed body, and in fact is only barely shorter than the full body thickness of a Strat-type guitar.
However, I am having difficulty tracking down what the dimensions of the 'short' switch should be; the one I have is just over 1.5 inches from the bottom of the switch to the top of the frame where the screw thread starts. Does anyone who has used these switches in the past know if this is really a short one, and the long ones are even longer? If so, I probably need an SG-style right angle switch (or a different brand) to fit on a pickguard in a top-routed body.
