Swapped Fender American STD bridge out for Hipshot nickle.

Man, this chrome pickups thing starts to grow on me. I'm thinking of my future bass (I think I talk about it a little too much, but anyways...), and I'm between a 80s flashy color with black pickguard and hardware, and a black body, cream pickguard and chrome hardware and pickups. Class!!

Your guitar looks super classy! 👍👍

Thru holes lined up perfectly, but had to plug and re-drill screw holes as they were slightly off. Intonates perfectly.View attachment 68234
I did this back in 2010. I asked W, and got no help.

I had to find the numbers myself.

Its been a while, but I think only the 2 outside mounting holes were just a hair off. I screwed the middle ones in first, then the outside ones. No drilling needed

Its been a solid performer for 16 years now.

It is up there for hardtail bridges. I like the fancy gotoh one too.
My all time fave is the ibanez tite end and tite end r.

Locking saddles and smooth to the touch. They sound good too. Made by gotoh.

Uh because it is "the best hardtail bridge on the market, bar none".

Indeed. It's my favorite hardtail bridge of all time.

AND -

I did a similar bridge switcharoo on my Dinkycaster. It originally had a Vintage Tele bridge rout. All I had to do to move to the Hipshot was drill new mounting holes. I didn't even have to fill in the old ones because the new bridge hides them. The string-thru holes all lined up perfectly.
