Thanks! I started with Aqua Coat grain filler mixed with some General Finishes ebony dye stain. That filled the grain and made it darker. Then I mixed General Finishes antique white milk paint, stain reducer, and water based extender. I painted it on with a foam brush and let it sit for a few minutes then wiped it off with a blue paper towel. I think I did a few coats of that to get the color even. The top coat is Aqua Coat satin clear lacquer. The neck is roasted maple with 3 coats of Tru-Oil.
