Surf Green Vintage Strat Build

If you haven’t tried them, I recommend the Fat 60s over the Texas specials for that JM/SRV type tone
I do like those, I've heard them but haven't had a chance to play them. I may change some stuff out down the road on this one, but initially was using stuff from my very first 'build' that got me hooked and into Warmoth. I gutted a Squire Black Strat and rebuilt it. Had to do some routing in the cavities and even striped the neck, re-radiused and re-fret, and even drilled out the plastic inlays and put in Rosewood. I'm using that neck on this one. What a crash course in learning to build guitars, but I decided I never want to do that kind of neck work again......

Finally got a break in the rain / humidity and shot the final 3 coats of nitro last night. The last coat was 50/50 thinned and went down really nice.
Also got the correct bridge in, so I have all the parts.

Now it's safely upstairs in the guest bathroom with a small fan going for the next 2-3 weeks before sanding/polishing........

That guest bathroom looks perfect for me, I am getting in the car now, probably stay oh, a few weeks or until the beer runs out. Cheers!
