Stunning showcase neck

Thought I'd show off this absolutely gorgeous SHOWCASE Neck. (couldn't hold out any longer)  :laughing7:
All I added to it was SS Frets & Graph Tech Nut, Sperzel ream.

This is the BEST showcase neck I have seen & actually got my hands on.  :toothy10:
(I can't believe you all missed it)

Had it since the 15th Oct, it's going on (I think) my custom ordered strat body.
Which is in the making, probably won't have till after Xmas or New year.
If it happens to come earlier than that ……. Yippie  :blob7: ….. Merry Xmas to me.  :icon_biggrin:

Wow. That certainly is a beautiful neck! I'm not usually a fan of Madagascar Ebony, but that is a definitely a showpiece. And raw Pau Ferro is a wonderful neck meat. I could be happy with that all day, every day.

I have a similarly spec'd neck, differences being jet black vs. Madagascar Ebony, and SS6100s vs. SS6115s. It's far and away my favorite neck. You're going to be very happy with that one, I'm sure.

NO .... thats how it came, they are bevelled same as all necks are. Probably just hard to see in pic's.

I think it's like a unique choice fretboard, thats why I grabbed it  :icon_biggrin:
And yes I just love the feel of Pau-Ferro  :icon_thumright: ... got a couple now.

Because it's such a busy looking fretboard, it'll be going on a solid coloured body.
(don't even ask what colour, as I'm not at liberty to say  :laughing7: ) 

In my wild imagination ..... it should look great .... I hope  :toothy11:

It is a beauty.  But, and this is just a suggestion, I think you really should take a few more pictures of it.  It is kinda a sparse set of photos.

I had been looking in the unique choices (Macassar Ebony) and (at the time) this showcase neck just blew them all away.
Was thinking it was a custom order that someone didn't like.

Yep .... Me too, It's a Custom build Strat Body (to come) with a solid colour, as the neck is rather busy looking.
Would look crap on a Flame or Quilt or any busy looking body .... But thats just my opinion  :icon_biggrin:

I opted for a plainer piece on my Indian Rosewood/Macassar Ebony neck, but I'd love to see how a very figured piece like this works on the right build. That's sort of the issue with boards like this. They look amazing, but it can be tough to find the right body for them. A solid color sounds like the best way to go.

Ordered the body on the 20th Oct .... Build to order & getting painted takes 10 -12 weeks  :sad:
Unless they really like me & send earlier than that, since I've spent heaps this year.  :toothy10:
But .... I don't expect it till after Xmas / New year ... All thou stranger things have happened before.

As soon as it arrives it will surely be posted here  :icon_biggrin:

If I could .... I'd have Pau-Ferro on all my guitars, all thou I think Rosewood is just as good too.  :icon_thumright:
I don't think I'd ever buy another with a finish on it. Also I'll never buy a known brand (Gib, Fen etc) ever again.  :icon_biggrin:
(I've still got a Gib 2011 SG '61 reissue in it's box)  :icon_scratch:  must get around to selling that one day.
My Warmoth black strat craps all over that one.
