Strat Body w/Bass6 neck?

I had a idea this morning that I think might be pretty cool. Would it be possible to put a Bass6 neck on a Strat body? (with custom bridge positioning if necessary)  I want to do this so I can to mix and match my collection of Strat pickguards/pickups onto a Bass6 neck/body...

I did some quick math and I think it would work. The Bass6 neck is 24 frets and 30 inch scale, so the distance from the 24th fret to the bridge should be about 7.5 inches (25% of 30"), right? If so, this is pretty close to the standard strat bridge position - maybe about 3/8th inch further back? I probably wouldn't use a Strat tremolo... I'd probably go fixed... or maybe the jag/jazzmaster if I could still fit a standard strat pickguard in there...

What do you think? Thanks for any input!

"Pretty close" is very different from "exactly." You need to be sure your saddles are in precisely the right places if you expect to intonate properly. 3/8" is pretty far off.

I'm pretty sure he means to have a designated "Bass6 body" with the correct bridge placement, he just want to be able to swap pickguard assemblies w/pickups in and out of that body. You could have one pickguard with 3 singles, one with 2 humbuckers, one with EMG's etc - it's fairly common out there in the real world, unlike here - where everyone just build a whole 'nother guitar to try a new pickup! :laughing3:

It does look like the neck pocket is longer on the Bass6 bodies...and the neck-screw holes wouldn't line up (they'd have to be custom too) -- but I'm pretty sure warmoth could do it -- based on what I've seen in the gallery, they can do just about anything.

Thanks
