Hello!

My next build is going to be a Strat body.
I am considering a TOM bridge and stop tailpiece.

Question is, do I need to be concerned with the neck pocket angle?
Or will the neck sit too low for proper action with this setup?

Thanks!

I believe you will have to recess the tunomatic

They offer a recessed TOM rout, so I'd assume that'd work fine with their standard neck pocket angle. Be good to know for sure.

I kinda want to do a Jazzmaster with a TOM and strings thru body, think that'd look cool.

Yes, unless the TOM is recessed.

Yes, unless the TOM is recessed.

In the Warmoth builders, when you select bridge, the TOM is offered automatically with the required angled pocket unless you choose one of the three recessed options.

Bingo. Warmoth will automatically give you the pocket you need for the bridge rout you choose. Recessed TOM's will get the standard pocket. TOM/STP will get an angled one.

Also, just a tad more information IMO terrible bridge.
What, the TOM?

They're the right height to be comfortable, but they're not the most comfortable to mute on. They are solid feel too.

My solution is the gotoh wraptail. It's very adjustable and has is super comfortable to rest your hand on.

I find em uncomfortable.

I'm now considering the Gotoh wraptail!
