Stickers!

When I got my first hard case, I put a sticker on it before I even put my guitar inside. Most I've seen end up being little bilboards from places you've been and witty things you've encountered. This doesn't apply so much to gig bags, but still, it seems to be a common thing.

Anyone else have a heavily stickered case?

This was the first one on my new case, I'll try to snap a photo of how it looks now when I get home tonight. I've got a few more coming from eBay, and I might have to blur one of them.. she isn't dressed to go out and meet people.

my first acoustic in my first guitar case. it started out as a sticker from the place i bought it from. it looks cheap as hell, but it really is  :icon_biggrin:  so i don't mind. obviously the picture should be reversed, but thats my webcam  :-\
 
Long ago when I toured my cases were all heavily ladend with stickers fron bars and concerts played, gear I had/did/wanted to use, and radio stations we liked or had been advertised on.  Pretty common, and a way to remind myself of a (usally) funny or pleasant memory.  Now I don't travel any distance to speak of, and my newer tweed cases are void of anything but a Fender tag riveted on it.  It used to be kind of a badge (to me) that they were applied because I'd been there/ done that - but I don't suppose it really makes any difference since one has the freedom to do pretty much whatever they wish with something they've bought and paid for IMO  :dontknow:

This is the case I use most often, and the sticker thing started with the Batman sticker. I don't even remember where it came from. There are more along the edges, but I wasn't about to take a dozen pictures of a guitar case...  :laughing7:
 
I haven't forgotten this, I'm just waiting on about five stickers to show up in the mail before I snap any pictures.

I was in a band with a guy who would go apeshit about people putting stickers on any of their gear, be it a case, amp, or instrument. He's a nice guy, as well as a good musician and friend, but I do believe he'd take a heart attack if he saw that axe.

I'm exactly the same way, but only on instruments. Cases and such are fine. :dontknow:

Max, remind me later that you're getting my stickers on instruments rant again. It's a long and passionate one. There will be 10 minute breaks between the fits of rage. :blob7:

I used to have a bunch of stickers on the side of one of my racks, but I peeled most of them off now.

I also used to have a big Line6 sticker on my laptop a few years ago.
It was one of those car window decals that was made by a guy at the mall with a mini CNC scribe tool thing, whatever the hell it's called, so it wasn't just one piece of material but rather, many small pieces.
It took me about half an hour with the tweezers to peel them all off when I sold that laptop. :sad:

 
Ok, but that guitar was pink.  And sparkly.  It had to be done.

Oh yeah, and look at how many random holes are in the body. teehee

When I was in college I had the inside of my strat case completely covered with  "Adult Pictures".    And these weren't nice friendly soft-core artsy ones either. ;-)

I'd post a pic of it back from back in the day, but I might be barred from the Unofficial Warmoth for life. :)

As for normal stickers on the outside.  My guitar cases were covered with them 10-15 years ago.  Now I really don't add anymore, although my warmoth has a couple, mostly nerdy ones... Analogman, Fulltone, Warmoth, etc.

Reminds me of the porno stickers bass on Craigslist about a year and a half ago.

There was this guy selling a bass that was COVERED everywhere with porno stickers.

It was actually a lefty P bass flipped right handed, but it was so covered in stickers that you didn't see the pickguard shape.
Even the headstock was covered in stickers.

That was totally hilarious.

Ok ok, in lieu of PM'ing every guy on the UW board, here it is... heavily edited of course.....   I apologize in advance to any female board members... I was 19, what can I say.
 
In theater tech, if we're doing a show that has a prop in it like a box or a closet that one of the actors looks into onstage, and the audience can't see inside it... it gets porno pics on the inside of it on opening night.  We don't do that in the high school shows obviously, but it's practically a theater law everywhere else.

Haha awesome!  :headbang: i have a ton of stickers that i'm holding onto until i get a hardshell case,
....i think this is one of those hidden "true life" things about musicians...we save stickers for our instrument cases  :laughing7: brilliant!!
