Stereo guitar

Anyone ever play one of those Ripley stereo guitars (pan switch for each string)?  I think that would be a sweet project, but where could one get the schematics or pickups?  Any suggestions?

Wiring would be easy, getting a pickup with coils for each string might be difficult though. A SD Duckbucker could give you EAD on one coil and GBE on the other.
Heard a guy play a quadraphonic 12 string a while back, interesting but a novelty.

i had a ripley and truth be told after about the second month i had it i rarely used it... after the intial shock wore off dont get me wrong it was a nice guitar and iam still kinda bumming i sold mine but 3 years ago someone made me an offer on it i couldnt refuse
